Siemens announced a combined investment of over $200 million in new manufacturing facilities in Georgia and Texas that will expand its U.S. electrical infrastructure manufacturing footprint and create more than 1,500 jobs.
More than $185 million of this investment will go to a new 550,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pendergrass, Georgia. The site will produce critical low-voltage electrical infrastructure products and systems for the data center market, supporting America's growth in AI infrastructure and cloud computing.
Siemens will also develop a $19 million facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The company expects this project to increase the capacity of its nearby flagship switchgear factory to support semiconductor, automotive, healthcare and other industrial and infrastructure markets requiring critical power. The 96,000-square-foot site will be a dedicated location for factory acceptance testing and warehousing for Siemens’ Electrical Products business.
Jobs created by these facilities will include fabrication, assembly, material handling, testing and engineering roles, with hiring beginning at the Grand Prairie location in late 2026 and the Pendergrass site in 2027.
Both facilities will be 100% electrified from their inception, with the Pendergrass facility featuring electric paint lines and advanced energy management systems.
In Grand Prairie, the site will utilize Siemens’ Digital Industries Software to optimize production. Siemens Technomatix’s 3D models are used to simulate the production lines for new layouts, logistics and workstation planning.
