SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- Police say an explosion at a chemical factory in South Korea has killed four people and injured eight others.
The blast occurred Thursday at an industrial complex in the southeastern city of Gumi where TV and other electronic components are made.
Yonhap news agency quoted police as saying four factory workers were killed and the toll may rise due to the severity of the other injuries.
The cause of the explosion was still being determined.
Several people living near the factory also were treated after inhaling toxic gas. Police moved about 600 residents to a community hall as a precaution.
