Netwrix offers its 2026 Data & Identity Security Report, which examines how AI adoption is changing organizational security risk.

The report shows that organizations moving fastest on AI adoption reported a 43% breach rate over the past year, compared with 11% among organizations where AI had not significantly expanded identities, automations or access complexity.

The report also explores how organizations are struggling to secure AI-driven identity expansion even as visibility and security maturity improve. Topics covered include:

  • Agentic AI security risks and governance gaps.
  • Non-human identities and AI-driven privilege sprawl.
  • Why faster AI deployment appears to correlate with higher breach exposure.
  • What organizations are getting wrong about AI readiness.
  • Benchmarking security maturity in AI-enabled environments.
