Eight Million Cleaning Products Recalled, Bacteria Present

Testing identified bacteria in products manufactured in the U.S.

The Laundress recalled approximately eight million laundry detergent and household cleaning products.

The company’s products might contain bacteria that could cause health concerns.

Affected products include The Laundress’ fabric conditioner, laundry detergent, and dish detergent.

Testing identified bacteria in products manufactured in the U.S. between January 2021 and September 2022.

The Laundress is aware of 11 consumers who reported bacterial infections and is investigating possible connections to the recalled products.

Consumers were instructed to close the bottle tightly when disposing and to not empty the product.

Products were sold on the company’s website, Amazon, and nationwide retailers.
