Report Unveils New Threats to Data

Nearly one in five manufacturers didn't register an attack until after their data was stolen.

ExtraHop’s newly released 2026 Global Threat Landscape Report explores the causes and costly outcomes of the security failures, with over half of respondents pointing to AI agents, agentic infrastructure, and GenAI apps as their biggest attack surface.

Additionally, 19 percent of manufacturing organizations didn’t recognize they were targets of a ransomware attack until their data was already being exfiltrated, which has lead to a sharp rise in the frequency of ransomware payments.
