The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has released The Journey to Zero Trust – Using Secure Access Service Edge in a Modern TIC 3.0 Solution, which provides guidance on how using Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions can support companies as they continue to advance their zero trust capabilities and modernize network security under the Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) 3.0 initiative.
As agencies move away from perimeter-based security models, SASE combines networking and security functions to help secure access to applications, data, and services across cloud, hybrid and distributed environments. This guidance outlines how using SASE to securely broker access to resources reduces reliance on legacy architectures and traditional VPN-based approaches.
Any organization looking to modernize its perimeter-based architectures, advance zero trust adoption, and improve visibility and control across distributed environments may benefit from this guidance. For more information, visit CISA’s Zero Trust webpage.
