CNC Software, (Tolland, CT) developers of Mastercam, have collaborated with German machine tool maker WIDIA. The partnership will enable CAM users to import 3D tool assemblies from WIDIA NOVO directly into Mastercam 2018, validate them and save them in their Mastercam file and/or Tool Library. Features such as automated filtering ensure that the selected holders and tools can work together, and that users have the correct tooling for the material and type of machining operation, as well as an accurate 3D model for quicker visualization and collision checking.
