Praxair Begins Operations At Guangzhou Plant

Plant is the sixth in the region for Praxair and brings the company’s total investment to more than $100 million.

SHANGHAI, China - Praxair (China) Investment Co., Ltd announced Wednesday that it started up a new 400-tons-per-day air separation plant for LianZhong (GZ) Stainless Steel Corp in Guangzhou, South China.

LianZhong will produce 800,000 tons per year of stainless steel to meet the growing demands of the Chinese market. The Praxair plant will supply high volumes of high purity oxygen, nitrogen and argon to LianZhong via pipeline.

The plant marks Praxair’s sixth air separation plant in the Guangdong Province and brings its total investment in the region to over $100 million.
