Forescout’s Vedere Labs recently published new research showing why exposed remote access remains a major weak point for manufacturing, transportation and utilities.

The bigger issue is that many organizations are still relying on legacy access models designed to extend network access, not tightly control, monitor, and audit remote interactions with sensitive OT and ICS assets. The research highlights the thousands of accessible servers and control systems that are actively being targeting by hacktivists and botnets.
