Black and Veatch recently unveiled their Secure by Design: A Market-Informed Guide to Cybersecurity for New Critical Infrastructure report.
According to the report only 24 percent of organizations consistently include cybersecurity early in projects, despite the fact that manufacturing environments are becoming more connected, automated and data-driven - making they more vulnerable. That is coupled with many facilities inheriting legacy risks due to cybersecurity being treated as a retrofit rather than a design requirement.
This report demonstrates how manufacturers can overcome these cybersecurity risks by building resilience into new facilities and modernization efforts from the outset. By integrating cybersecurity early, organizations can reduce downtime, simplify operations and avoid costly rework, delivering both productivity and protection across the production lifecycle.
