Okuma America (Charlotte, NC) recently unveiled new CNC machine tools, CNC controls, automation systems and intelligent manufacturing technologies at IMTS 2026.

The company debuted four new CNC machine tools in the Americas—its parent company is based in Japan:

  • The MB-100V Vertical Machining Center, a high-precision bridge milling machine ideal for machining large parts.
  • The GENOS M4000H-e Horizontal Machining Center, a high-speed, thermally stable horizontal machining center that offers quick acceleration, short tool changes and high power to improve productivity.
  • The MS-320H Horizontal Machining Center, a compact 4-axis horizontal machining center designed to support efficient automated production.
  • The MULTUS U1000 Multitasking Lathe, a multitasking machine with an automatic tool changer and optional sub-spindle and lower turret.

Okuma also presented a lineup of automation systems developed by the Okuma Factory Automation (OFA) Group, along with solutions from industry partners. For example, Okuma partnered with Intrinsic AI to display an AI automation robot cell.

Additional displays included:

  • The Robot Loader (ORL) Series Enhancements & Additions with easy-to-integrate robotic systems designed to load and unload workpieces from machines.
  • The Tower Pallet Changer, a vertical, two-level pallet changer with 13-pallet capacity.
  • A Modular Automatic Tool Changer.

Finally, Okuma shared details of a newly constructed Global Repair Center in Charlotte. The 35,000-square-foot facility brings mechanical and electrical repair, component exchange, upgrades and legacy part fabrication together in a state-of-the-art building that is four times larger than the previous dedicated space.
