Hapman, a maker of custom bulk material handling equipment, announced plans to add 18,500 square feet of manufacturing space to its facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The company expects the project to increase its manufacturing area by 35%.

The expanded facility will feature a two-person paint booth, dedicated areas for prewire and assembly operations, improved shipping and receiving capabilities, and additional room for Helix inventory, finished equipment and parts staging.

Hapman added that it will conduct all customer equipment runoffs in the expansion area, ensuring the critical processes take place in an environment free from the noise and dust of ongoing manufacturing activities.

With this development, Hapman expects to support increased order volume through new facility enhancements that streamline operations and provide the flexibility needed to address future industry demands.
