Man Decapitated While Cleaning Equipment at Tyson Plant

He was cleaning a chiller, which the company uses to cool chickens.

 

A 39-year-old worker was killed at a Keystone Foods plant in Baker Hill, Alabama.

The plant is owned by Tyson Foods.

Carlos Lynn was cleaning chicken processing equipment when he was caught in a pinch point.

He was cleaning a chiller, which the company uses to cool chickens.

Lynn’s employer, Packers Sanitation Services, was contracted by Tyson to clean the equipment.

According to the coroner, Lynn was decapitated in the accident.

The incident happened around 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3rd.

OSHA and Tyson are investigating the accident.
