RECOM
The new Recom (Denver, Colorado) RMOD4000 series of compact, plug-and-play DC/DC converters provides isolated 14 V, 28 V, or 56 VDC network rails from a high-input-voltage range of 180 VDC to 950 VDC from traction batteries. Up to 4kW is available, depending on variant and input voltage, with a conversion efficiency of up to 95%. Baseplate or liquid cooling options result in cool running and high reliability.
Features include:
- Output regulated and protected against over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short circuits.
- Input with under- and over-voltage lockout and active inrush suppression.
- An isolated CAN J1939 interface enables control and data monitoring, including output-voltage adjustment.
- A separate hardware on/off control (ignition) and HV-interlock-function.
- An integrated OR-ing function allows paralleling of units for redundancy or increased power capability with active current sharing.
- An operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C with no derating.
- Full reinforced isolation to IEC62477-1.
- Vehicle safety standards ISO6469-3 and ISO 7637 are met.
- The EMC standard ECER10 Rev 4 is certified (E-mark).
- A water- and dust-proof cast aluminum enclosure to IP67 standard, and can be baseplate or water-cooled with integrated coolant ports.
- Body dimensions of 316 mm x 254 mm x 83 mm.
- Sealed, plug-in connectors for input and outputs.
- Applicability as an on-board DC/DC converter for battery-powered on- and off-highway vehicles.
