Construction supply distributor NEFCO announced that it has acquired STS Industrial, a Louisiana distributor that serves energy and industrial customers nationwide.
NEFCO officials said that the deal would bolster its capabilities in the rapidly growing Gulf Coast market. STS provides fasteners, pipe, valves and fittings, gaskets, pipe supports and cutting tools to the refinery, chemical, oil & gas and manufacturing sectors.
NEFCO said that STS will continue operating “as usual” as it “gradually” introduces NEFCO’s product lineup at its locations in Southwest Louisiana, East Texas and suburban Houston.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“STS has been a respected supplier with deep roots in the Gulf region, and their expertise and culture align directly with NEFCO’s focus on speed, service and technical solutions for contractors,” NEFCO CEO Matthew Gelles said in the announcement.
