Following one year and 26 million yuan, construction on the world’s longest and highest glass-bottom bridge finished on Thursday.

Following one year and 26 million yuan, construction on the world’s longest and highest glass-bottom bridge in China’s central Hunan province is now complete.

Workers joined the last of the steel decks that link the 1,230-foot-long skywalk yesterday, which hangs approximately 984 feet above the ground.

The bridge will not be open to the public until May 2016.
