ThyssenKrupp Nominates Hiesinger As New CEO

German-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG has nominated Heinrich Hiesinger, a board member at industrial conglomerate Siemens AG, as its next chief executive.

BERLIN (AP) -- German-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG has nominated Heinrich Hiesinger, a board member at industrial conglomerate Siemens AG, as its next chief executive.

ThyssenKrupp said Tuesday the personnel committee of its supervisory board has proposed that Hiesinger replace current CEO Ekkehard Schulz next January.

It said that Hiesinger will join ThyssenKrupp's board this October.
