EL PASO, Texas (AP) -- Consumer-products maker Helen of Troy Ltd. said Monday it will buy the worldwide rights and trademarks to the Ogilvie brand of at-home hair permanent and straightening products from Ascendia Brands Inc.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Helen of Troy said it will integrate Ogilvie into its Idelle division of skin and hair products.
The company said it expects Ogilvie to generate about $10 million in sales each year.
Helen of Troy added that the deal will likely add to its earnings during its fourth quarter, which ends in February.
Shares of the company added 8 cents to $16.07 shortly after the opening bell.
