LONDON (AP) -- Motor vehicle production fell 60 percent in Britain in February, with the commercial vehicle sector down nearly 72 percent, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said Friday.
Honda began a four-month halt of all production in Britain in February, and other manufacturers have reduced hours or laid off workers.
The report came a day after the group said it was canceling the 2010 British International Motor Show because manufacturers were unwilling to commit to attend due to the dismal economy.
