Luiz Fernando Edmond and David A. Peacock will lead North American operations when the Belgian brewer acquires Anheuser-Busch, forming the world’s largest brewery.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- InBev SA said Wednesday that Luiz Fernando Edmond will lead the company's North American operations when the Belgian brewer acquires Anheuser-Busch Inc., forming the world's largest brewery.

Edmond, who works as the company's president of Latin America North, will oversee operations for Anheuser-Busch InBev -- the name of the combined company -- in the U.S. and Canada.

David A. Peacock will become Anheuser-Busch president and oversee U.S. operations and management of the brewer's Budweiser and Bud Light brands. Peacock is an Anheuser-Busch vice president.

The combined company's North American headquarters will remain in St. Louis, where Anheuser-Busch is currently based.

The two will assume their new posts when the $52 billion takeover is completed at the end of the year.
