Air Products Supplying Nitrogen To S. Korea Chipmaker

Pennsylvania-based Air Products said it will build, own and operate the nitrogenair separation plant, which is scheduled to open in mid-2008.

ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania (AP) — Air Products and Chemicals Inc. said Tuesday it signed a contract to supply nitrogen to a memory chip manufacturer in South Korea.
 
Allentown-based Air Products said it will build, own and operate the nitrogenair separation plant, which is scheduled to open in mid-2008. The plant will supply the nitrogen to a plant that Hynix Semiconductor Inc. is building in North Chungcheong Province, Korea.
 
Air Products makes nitrogen for the oil and natural gas industry, and oxygen and helium for companies in the metals, chemicals and health care industries.
