Boiler Bursts At Bangladesh Steel Factory

At least four workers killed, 20 injured in explosion at Seema Automatic Re-rolling Factory.

CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh (AP) — A boiler explosion at a steel factory killed at least four workers in southeastern Bangladesh on Wednesday, a company official said.
 
Twenty people were also injured in the blast at the Seema Automatic Re-rolling Factory in Chittagong district, 135 miles southeast of the capital, Dhaka, the factory's executive director Nadim Uddin told The Associated Press.
 
A fire broke out inside the factory after the explosion, Uddin said, adding that firefighters doused the flames immediately.

The cause of the blast could not immediately be ascertained, Uddin said.
 
The rescuers recovered four bodies from inside the factory, and they were searching for other victims, the official said.
 
At least eight people were seriously injured in the blast and were hospitalized, he said.
