Cherokee International Completes Sale Of Mexican Manufacturing Facility

Company is consolidating and shifting to Shanghai.

TUSTIN, Calif. - Cherokee International Corp. announced Tuesday that it completed the sale of its manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, to Inmobiliaria Hondarribia, S.A., for $1.25 million.

The sale includes some assets and equipment currently located at the facility.

In February 2006, Cherokee International opened a new facility in Shanghai, China, with plans to move and consolidate high-volume, low-mix manufacturing to Shanghai. It is closing the facility in Mexico as part of the consolidation plan.

Cherokee International designs and manufactures custom-designed power supplies.
