Taiwan’s Industrial Production Index Up Slightly In March

The growth of Taiwan's manufacturing production index (MPI) and its industrial production index (IPI) in the first quarter of this year only showed a slight improvement, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The growth of Taiwan's manufacturing production index (MPI) and its industrial production index (IPI) in the first quarter of this year only showed a slight improvement, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The IPI stood at 143.51 in March, a slight increase of 0.12 percent over the same period of last year, while the MPI stood at 148.18, up 0.62 percent.
