General Electric Co. is planning to set up a new steam turbine plant in India for power projects of up to 1,000 megawatts, according to an India-based newspaper.
The Mint cited president and Pratyush Kumar, chief executive of GE Infrastructure India, as saying GE has already started discussions with domestic companies. The company said it is also looking for partners for the project.
