Atlas Copco Opens Screw Compressor Plant In China

Atlas Copco opened a new production plant Thursday to manufacture screw compressor elements in Wuxi, China, alongside the company’s existing compressor manufacturing plant.

The new plant includes a production hall and necessary equipment to manufacture the compressor elements. Components manufactured at the China location will be used mainly in compressors for the local market, as well as other parts of Asia. The new plant will eventually create 60 new jobs.

Atlas Copco develops and manufactures compressor elements and core parts the company’s oil-free and oil-injected screw compressors, tooth and turbo compressors.
