Dell plans to double the number of employees it has in India over the next few years, increasing its labor pool in the region to approximately 20,000 workers, according to the company's chief executive, Michael Dell.

Dell also said that the company is considering building its own campuses in India to accommodate the new employees. Although Dell moved some call-center services back to the U.S. a few years ago in response to customer complaints, the company has slowly been increasing its presence in India.

While Dell mainly sells computers in India to large companies, a new manufacturing center in the region could help the company increase sales of PCs to consumers there.
