Purina to Open Cat Food-Inspired Restaurant

But why?

Ever wonder what the brown concoction in your pet’s food bowl actually tastes like?

Patrons of New York’s hottest new popup restaurant might have the chance to find out.

Purina has announced a new restaurant concept that’s inspired by its Fancy Feast brand of wet cat food.

Titled "Gatto Bianco by Fancy Feast," it opens on Aug. 11 for two nights only.

Guests will enjoy a tasting menu that takes its inspiration from a new line of Fancy Feast dishes called “Medleys.”

According to a recent press release, the menu was developed by the cat food brand's in-house chef, Amanda Hassner, and acclaimed restaurateur Cesare Casella.

Hassner says Gatto Bianco’s dishes “help cat owners understand how their cats experience food – from flavor, to texture, to form – in a way that only Fancy Feast can."

Fancy Feast says it hopes to share with cat lovers the “delight” it brings to felines with every meal.
