Cisco Closes $141M Deal For Cariden

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Cisco has completed the acquisition of software company Cariden Technologies Inc. for about $141 million.

The privately held Sunnyvale, Calif., company supplies network planning, design and traffic management products and services for telecommunications providers.

Cariden will help Cisco provide more tools for managing increasing online traffic from mobile devices.

Shares of Cisco, based in San Jose, Calif., rose 6 cents to $19.92 in premarket trading.
