Fujitsu Ltd. (TSE:6702) said Friday that it will release this coming Wednesday four new products in its Inspirium series of embedded software used to control mobile phones and digital consumer electronics.
Inspirium Dictionary Search Library V1.0 uses Fujitsu's own advanced data compression technology and can load a dictionary function with some 230,000 words onto mobile phones or personal digital assistants. In addition to text, it uses video and audio to explain words.
Inspirium UI Manager V2.0 enables user interfaces to be designed or changed without requiring programming. Fujitsu will also sell Inspirium UI Library V2.0, which realizes graphical user interfaces on home appliances' display panels.
The fourth new product is Inspirium HomeNetwork Library for Net TV V1.0, which can control everything from televisions to air conditioners over the Internet.
Fujitsu will sell the new software to mobile phone and appliance manufacturers and is targeting Inspirium sales of 6 billion yen ($58US,.5 million) over the next three years.
