Infor extends HCM with Workbrain buy

Infor announced plans in early April to add yet again to it expanding portfolio of best-in-class solutions that augment its core ERP and supply chain management solutions. This time it involves the purchase of Workbrain, a Web-based workforce management vendor, for approximately $227 million.
“Infor already has a complement of robust HR solutions,” says Jim Schaper, chairman and CEO of Infor. “Workbrain expands our current human capital management offering with unmatched domain expertise in the areas of time and attendance, scheduling and absence management, and workforce planning.”
Schaper says the solution will be sold into its own base of some 70,000 customers worldwide, and as a best-in-class solution integrated with competitors' solutions. “When you look at Workbrain customers, they fit very nicely with our own vertical markets,” he says. “It is a great fit for the company, and will become our human capital management center of excellence.”
