New capabilities found in Cincom Systems' Sales Configurator and Socrates software include more localization features, double-byte character set languages for manufacturers with operations in China and other Asian countries, and pre-built integration to the SAP R/3 enterprise system. Complex-product manufacturers can streamline sales, design, and proposal processes by using the configurator to deliver product and sales knowledge to the point of sale.

Cincom's solutions integrate out-of-the-box with SAP, sharing customer and quotation data with SAP R/3 and feeding configured sales orders directly into the SAP Order Management and SAP Variant Configurator modules. The advantage is found in a significantly reduced "quote-to-cash" cycle.
