A visible approach to maintenance

By Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 3/1/2007

Preventative-maintenance schedules are key enablers for saving time and money on equipment repair work. Magnatag Visible Systems has a way to tap into those savings by displaying a year's worth of preventative-maintenance actions for every equipment asset in a facility—all on one magnetic board. The board allows 52 weeks of scheduling for 66, 90, or 180 line items. Each of three board sizes includes write-on tools, and an optional visible file aligned with the board that holds a two-year daily maintenance history card on each line item. Color-coded magnets identify the week's job assignments, giving both managers and employees a heads-up on maintenance work.

“This board offers a proactive schedule to extend the life of your machines,” says Wally A. Krapf, Magnatag president. Visit www.magnatag.com/maintenance-master for quick look.
