Japanese investment in supply chain security solution
Mitsui USA, a trading and service enterprise, has invested in Savi Technology, a provider of real-time networked solutions for the management and security of supply chain assets, through a $10-million investment in Infolink Systems, a holding company and parent of Savi.
"In today's competitive world, greater cargo efficiency and security means greater economic security overall, and this requires greater global collaboration among leading companies such as Mitsui and Savi to bring technology solutions to the supply chain marketplace," says Mashiko Tsumoto, senior VP and general manager of Mitsui USA Transportation Division.
Mitsui and Savi already have collaborated for about a year, but this investment will allow them to work more closely together to rapidly expand network coverage and user adoption of their solutions.
