Pragma sponsors PowerShell Community

Pragma Systems Inc. sponsored the PowerShell Community organization, a group founded in part to provide user forums, blogs, and information for Microsoft Windows PowerShell.

Pragma Systems Inc. sponsored the PowerShell Community organization. This community was founded in part to provide user forums, blogs, and information for Microsoft Windows PowerShell. The PowerShell Community organization, founded by Marco Shaw and Hal Rottenberg, is considered by many to be the leading source of new and upcoming trends, feedback and news on PowerShell-related implementations, Pragma Systems said in an Aug. 31 announcement. It now has more than 1,500 members.

Microsoft PowerShell CommunityPowerShell Community provides user forums, blogs, and information for Microsoft Windows PowerShell.

Microsoft Windows PowerShell command line shell and scripting language helps IT professionals achieve greater control and productivity across their Microsoft Windows infrastructure. Using a new admin-focused scripting language, more than 130 standard command line tools, and consistent syntax and utilities, Windows PowerShell allows IT professionals to easily control system administration and accelerate automation. Microsoft's PowerShell technology brings an ultra-modern shell to the industry, says Pragma Systems, surpassing the Unix shell in features and functionalities, as well as being able to pipe .NET objects - not just text streams - like Unix shells. Pragma supports PowerShell and the company's recently released Gen 2 Pragma Fortress SSH Server and Pragma TelnetServer support Microsoft Windows PowerShell.

"We are very excited to have Pragma Systems join as a sponsor of our online community dedicated to PowerShell," said Marco Shaw, co-founder of PowerShellCommunity.org.

"Sponsorships help us to grow the community by connecting to various user groups and also providing additional communication avenues such as having a presence at major technical shows throughout the world."

"PowerShell advances Windows management greatly, leveraging full .NET power. It brings new life to SSH and Telnet-based remote management with a much more advanced shell than the old cmd.exe," said David Kulwin, CTO of Pragma Systems.

"PowerShell can make SSH and Telnet products more popular and improve the productivity of our customers."
