At 10.2 ounces, Amazon Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines, Amazon says. It's about 1/3 inch thick. Amazon Kincle

The AberdeenGroup, a Harte-Hanks Co., says it is the first market research firm to offer reports on Amazon's Kindle reading device. With more than 2.5 Million readers in over 40 countries including 90% of the Fortune 1,000 and 93% of the Software 500, Aberdeen says it has helped companies world-wide become best-in-class for more than two decades with fact-based research to enable organizations to get ahead and drive business results.

The newly released Aberdeen Report: 2009 State of the Market: Mid Year Insights is the first piece of industry research to be rovided on the Amazon Kindle. This report highlights data from 1,607 executives in 36 countries to understand what drives buyers' decisions; how is the competition responding to the marketplace; and what changes to business process are likely to yield the greatest return.

Aberdeen says the report has been hailed as the "2009 Business Leaders Guide" to assist business leaders in comparing goals, strategies, tactics, and investment priorities with their peers while seeking opportunities to contextualize and embrace the findings to improve their own business. The report reveals where business has been over the past year, where it stands today and - for those able to recognize opportunity - what the future brings. Kindle users can access The Aberdeen Report here.

Aberdeen Kindle Edition

Andrew Boyd, President of Aberdeen Group says, "it was imperative for the 2009 Aberdeen Report to be accessible via the Kindle to executives and line of business professionals who depend on a deep understanding of market intelligence to successfully compete in today's volatile economy," comments . "The Kindle will provide Aberdeen's 2.5 Million readers world-wide access to the knowledge, tools and recommendations to grow, change and adapt business strategies to the constantly changing market."

Each section of the report is designed to serve two purposes: 1) educate the CEO on key trends, initiatives and developments; and 2) provide guidance to functional leaders as they encounter new challenges, embrace new opportunities and adapt to the changing economic environment, providing executive teams with a roadmap to navigate through uncertain times.

Aberdeen offers a hard copy of the report.
