MESA launches Excellence Awards

While all manufacturers strive for excellence, what does it entail? The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association International (MESA) will shed light on this question with its new Manufacturing Excellence Awards program. What's more, there's still time to make an entry.
MESA will hand out three awards to identify clear examples of how specific manufacturers faced business challenges, identified a plan to address them, and leveraged information systems to overcome those challenges. The categories are:
-
Operational Excellence: Recognizes companies that have an effective manufacturing model, and that optimize the use of production assets.
-
Customer Intimacy: Recognizes companies that understand what customers value, and drive manufacturing based on those requirements.
-
Product Leadership: Recognizes companies that create innovative products, reduce time-to-volume, and have set new product trends.
"These awards will give our audience a clear correlation between the resolution of critical business problems and the use of integrated information systems that span the enterprise," says Rob Rudder, MESA chairperson.
Each of the three finalists will make a presentation at the MESA conference Sept 7-9. The entry deadline is June 13, but entries received by May 23 are eligible for an extra free conference admission if selected as a finalist. For more information, visit www.mesa.org.
