J.D. Edwards, a Denver-based extended enterprise and e-Business solutions provider, reported late last year its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended October 31, 2000. License fee revenue grew to $137.4 million in that quarter, representing a 36-percent increase over license fee revenue of $101.1 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1999. Total revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2000 was $277.2 million, compared to revenue of $257.6 million in the same period last year.
For the fiscal year ended October 31, 2000, total revenue reached a record $1 billion, compared to revenue of $944.2 million in fiscal 1999. License fee revenue was $419.1 million, compared to $312.8 million in the fiscal year ended October 31, 1999.
"Fiscal 2000 proved to be an extremely successful year, with revenue at an all-time high, more than 70 transactions valued at more than $1 million, and the release of our new 100-percent Web-enabled product, OneWorld Xe," says C. Edward McVaney, president and CEO.
Also announced, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has purchased OneWorld Xe. ADM, which is based in Decatur, Ill., is one of the world's largest processors of oilseeds, corn, and wheat, with 368 processing plants, and net sales in excess of $12.8 billion.
"Globalization is one of our key concerns," says John D. McNamara, president of ADM. OneWorld Xe provides a scalable technology foundation, and the applications to streamline our global business practices and still accommodate country requirements."
