Megatrux now offers RFID tagging of shipments as a part of its extended portfolio of logistics services. Customers receive more accurate information on the location and status of goods, which aids them in meeting retailer mandates for RFID-tagged shipments.
The company launched the service in its Southern California warehouse, but plans to expand it to all eight of its facilities in North America. The solution combines Ship2Save integrated software and hardware with RFID printers and Gen 2 RFID tags from SATO.
“Third-party logistics is all about serving the customer across the end-to-end supply chain,” says Sam Falsafi, Ship2Save director of business development and RFID strategy. “The business driver for Megatrux was to aid customer compliance with retailer mandates to improve operational efficiency in receiving, shipping, and packaging.”
