Integration & infrastructure in brief

By Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 5/1/2005 12:00:00 AM

Business Integration Suite Application Server Edition (BIS/AS)—an enterprise application integration solution that runs on IBM WebSphere, SAP NetWeaver, and Oracle 10g—extends Seeburger's BIS platform from Windows to UNIX and Linux, and supports synchronous messaging for quick apps connectivity via Web services and service-oriented architectures. BPEL-based business process designers such as FuegoBPM and IDS Scheer's Aris also are supported.

LANSA2005, a cross-platform suite, delivers application modernization, integration, and extension capabilities for multiple platforms—including IBM's eServera iSeries. Enhancements include rapid application development capability, support for Web services and universal end-user devices, repository-based development, and an integrated development environment to implement portals and e-business applications.

Infravio and GT Software will deliver solutions for managing and governing policy in service-oriented architectures (SOA) using legacy mainframe applications. The vendors say their combined solutions—Infravio Ensemble Web Services Management Suite, and GT's Ivory Mainframe Web Services solution—deliver a comprehensive SOA Web services implementation framework that eases deployment and reuse of services for business-critical applications.
