Lawson Software and RR Donnelley have decided to extend a relationship through which the two companies deliver business forms and labels through mobile computing devices directly to users of the Lawson enterprise software applications. The companies have worked together since 1990 and currently serve 2,100 mutual customers.
Through this alliance, Lawson and RR Donnelly provide a variety of products and services, including hand-held scanners that interact directly with Lawson Mobile Supply Chain Management and Surgical Instrument Management solutions. The companies can also provide labels and label printers; forms such as payroll and accounts payable checks, tax forms, invoices, and form imaging; along with mailing and Web presentment services—all linked to Lawson enterprise software applications.
"Our customers have ever-changing needs surrounding mobile computing and business forms related to their Lawson applications," said Terry Plath, global director of business development for Lawson. "As a strategic provider for more than 17 years, RR Donnelley continues to innovate and bring added value to our customers—as both companies strive to anticipate the needs of the companies and organizations that we jointly serve."
Brad Simmering, Lawson Software alliance director for RR Donnelley, said: "While our relationship with Lawson and the Lawson user community has expanded and evolved, our focus on customer needs has never changed. Our solutions complement Lawson and make using Lawson applications a simpler and better experience, which ultimately helps deliver greater value."
