Brooks launches SPACE 4.1 SPC app; reports MES customer wins

Built on Brooks' Sense Decide Respond real-time architecture, SPACE 4.1 helps manufacturers implement corporate statistical process control (SPC) standards. Features include rational subgrouping, a Java application programming index, an advanced calculation option module, and broader chart management and off-line analytical capabilities.

SPACE is used in semiconductor manufacturing facilities and is a resource for discrete manufacturers enhancing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and supply chain execution initiatives. The application integrates with manufacturing execution systems (MES), as well as with Brooks' out-of-control action plan application, which allows corrective action to be configured in a predefined workflow.

Brooks also reports two recent multimillion-dollar MES wins in the flat panel display (FPD) market, including ChungHwa Picture Tubes, a leading Taiwanese FPD manufacturer; and a Generation 5 FPD manufacturer also based in Taiwan.
