Quality control: Camstar says new solution will “disrupt the quality market”

Manufacturing execution system supplier Camstar Systems says it is introducing a new product that will transform traditional manufacturing quality management into “enterprise quality execution.”
The Camstar Enterprise Manufacturing, Quality, and Intelligence Platform is scheduled for unveiling at Camstar’s 2008 Global Customer Conference, which kicks off April 27 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The new platform provides a single unified system to support a proactive, performance-driven approach to manufacturing and quality operations. Camstar executives says analysts who has previewed the platform predict it will change the landscape of manufacturing and quality solutions, and has the potential to shake up and disrupt the quality market.
"The reality is that manufacturing and quality systems today are mostly siloed, departmental applications, creating reactive, non-strategic operations," said Scott Toney, President and CEO of Camstar. "In today's global manufacturing environment where rapid change is taking place, it is a huge competitive advantage to have one platform for manufacturing and quality processes."
