ECM vendor adds Sarbanes module
Hummingbird Ltd., an enterprise content management (ECM) supplier, is squeezing into the already well-populated government compliance space. Last quarter, Hummingbird announced a deal with Nth Orbit, which offers Certus, an information storage product that meets the first deadline of Sarbanes-Oxley reporting structures regulations.
Demantra customers tend to stick with Demantra
Demantra says its program to convert former shared J.D. Edwards (JDE) customers to Demantra customers is a success, indicating that with more than half of the former JDE customers having made their decision, 80 percent chose to stick with Demantra's SpectrumSuite.
Users who previously licensed Demantra's solution through the J.D. Edwards 5 Supply Chain Management Solution faced a mandate from PeopleSoft/JDE to switch to EnterpriseOne Demand Forecasting application or lose support for the Demantra solution currently in place. Some say should Oracle's takeover bid for PeopleSoft obtain shareholder approval, a similar mandate may be handed down to PeopleSoft customers whereby they would need to switch to Oracle solutions or risk losing ongoing support.
Customers such as Cargill, Johnson & Johnson, Baxter Healthcare, McCain Foods, Pernod Ricard, and Reckitt Benckise cited Demantra's strong business process and domain expertise among their reasons to enter into a direct relationship with Demantra.
