SaaS and sourcing: TradeCard teams with Avery Dennison for supply chain express solutions

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 1/31/2008 11:42:00 AM

Avery Dennison and TradeCard will offer new visibility and process automation capabilities aimed at manufacturers and brand owners that source globally. The aim is to combine features of Avery Dennison's InfoChain Express (ICE) supply chain visibility solution and TradeCard's Supplier Enablement Solution, hosted sourcing platform, and financial settlement network.
The solution will be available in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.
The new product will enable buyers and suppliers to access extended supply chain services and utilize one central set of data for sourcing and supply chain finance processes. The strategic collaboration provides a unique offering of technology packaged with in-country and in-language support, rapid factory deployment, and complete supply chain visibility.
Companies that source merchandise globally will be able to obtain full visibility and process automation in financial settlements, shipping, packing, and ASN creation through the hosted solution.
"After working together with several joint clients, we realized that combining our services creates a one-plus-one-equals-three opportunity. This is a perfect match for Avery Dennison, TradeCard and our customers," says Kurt Cavano, CEO, TradeCard. "The ICE product sets the standard for delivering business rule-driven solutions to retailers and brands for supply chain visibility and order management. Together we will deliver the demand-driven supply chain model to enable speed, agility, and business growth."
