AssurX quality management solution shores up supplier networks

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 4/3/2008 11:18:00 AM

AssurX says its newly released Enterprise Supplier Quality Management solution, Assurx SQM, is 100-percent Web-based to deliver a best-practices process for companies that are globally managing and tracking suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Available as OnPremise or OnDemand (Software-as-a-Service), AssurX SQM enables total transparency and visibility into the supply chain via capture, analysis, and assessment of quality-related issues and providing traceability and monitoring in real time across the supplier network.
AssurX SQM allows companies to:
Track supplier metrics;
Immediately report on shortages, late shipments, and defective parts;
Track in-line and receiving issues;
Manage supplier corrective actions;
Rate and rank suppliers with scorecards;
Collaborate with suppliers to solve problems faster; and
Control costs and make better product the first time around.
Key components include:
Business Performance Metrics/Management Dashboards: Unlike other systems that rely on third party tools to generate reports and metrics, AssurX SQM comes with user-configurable built-in dashboards, metrics, and ad hoc query functionality that allow real-time trending and analysis.
Approved Lists and Supplier Score Cards: Manage your supplier base with specific information related to each supplier and monitor their performance with scorecards.
Incoming Inspection, Issues, and CAPA: Gain real-time visibility to incoming material, parts, subassemblies, or raw material with inspections at the source. Dashboards and analytics with drill-down data enable identification of potential issues, and identify potential corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Nonconformance Tracking: Identify supplier nonconformances resulting from inspections, audits, or other means; and track these through to resolution.
Best Practices Workflow: AssurX has simplified and streamlined an end-to-end workflow for processing all event intakes, reportable and non-reportable. In addition, unlimited best practices workflows can be added, and modifications to existing template workflows can be easily done with point-and-click configuration.
Integration with other Systems: AssurX SQM easily integrates with ERP, CRM, product life-cycle management and manufacturing execution systems to automate quality processes and procedures across the enterprise.
Automatic Escalation and Notification: Establish business rules and workflows to ensure timely escalation and notification of problems before they become real issues. Suppliers also can respond to issues and resolve problems faster.
