Anticipating the hockey stick

By Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 5/1/2007 12:00:00 AM

RFID infrastructure supplier TAGSYS recently launched e-connectware, a new software suite for managing global RFID network deployments.

“In the future we believe there will be RFID networks that you'll want to manage like voice and data networks today. You'll need software to manage the physical layer, and e-connectware allows you to do that,” says Fred Kohout, chief marketing officer, TAGSYS.

e-connectware is a set of management and administrative tools that ensure data accuracy and integrity in item-level tagging. The suite is comprised of three products that scale to differing capacity levels:

  • Essentials enables local intelligent management and monitoring of a TAGSYS reader infrastructure with a single user interface. It is available now.

  • Enterprise extends to networked multisite deployments; and

  • Global provides remote management, administration, and control of heterogeneous reader infrastructure. Enterprise and Global will be available later this year.
