Plantronics take a giant leap into global CRM using Saaspoint integration services

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 9/11/2007 3:26:00 PM

Saaspoint, a salesforce.com consultancy and systems integrator, has enabled Plantronics to deploy on-demand customer relationship management (CRM) across its EMEA operations, and integrate the rollout globally with the U.S.

Plantronics is a pioneer in Bluetooth headsets for mobile and music enjoyment and wireless office solutions. Brands include Plantronics, Altec Lansing, Clarity, and Volume Logic. The company, which had 2006 revenues of $750M, has more than 6,600 employees worldwide with offices in 19 countries, including major facilities in China, Mexico, Tennessee, England, and The Netherlands.

"We selected Saaspoint because of its in-depth salesforce.com expertise, business awareness and technology capability," says Tony Williams, IT director, Plantronics. "The implementation was completed on schedule and will help us boost customer service and new business opportunities as we have greater worldwide visibility through a single, centralized view of our customers across different sales functions, products, regions and divisions."

The implementation included 150 users in EMEA, 200 in the U.S., and 30 users in APAC.
"We help companies like Plantronics maximize the effectiveness of its Salesforce deployment," says Frank McCracken, professional services director, Saaspoint. "In the case of Plantronics we will be helping to integrate Salesforce with its existing systems and with its contact centre in the Netherlands as well as developing the most useful dashboards for its management team."

Saaspoint also will deliver a secure mobile application that allows Plantronics' users to access the database remotely while out of the office through a laptop or PDAs such as HTC Windows Mobile Devices, BlackBerry and Palm Treo.
