IDS Scheer sets up performance measurement for SCOR

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 3/21/2008 3:44:00 PM

IDS Scheer will deliver its business ARIS business process management (BPM) platform to the Supply-Chain Council (SCC) for development of reference models, including the Supply-Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR); Customer-Chain Operations Reference Model (CCOR); and Design-Chain Operations Reference Model (DCOR) in a multi-user BPM repository.
ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM) for SCOR will be one of the first solutions developed as a platform for continuous improvement of supply chain processes supporting the SCOR metrics.
“We [know about] the disconnect between strategy and operational reality, and the throttling effect it has on business performance,” says Allen Johnson, a director with IDS Scheer in North America. “The first phase of our partnership with SCC addressed the need to get the process house in order and build a common baseline off which to make that connection between strategy and operations. Now we will provide an operational assurance platform of accountability maps, analytics, dashboards, and alerts linking those processes to SCOR metrics so the management team has command and control over its efforts to drive KPI improvement. Effectively, we’ll give management a steering wheel to assure its business strategy through improved operational execution in the supply chain.”
