Growing security concerns strengthen demand for test equipment

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 8/16/2007 8:39:00 AM

The Test & Measurement Group at Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce its 2007 Quarterly Analyst Briefing Presentation on the LAN/WAN test equipment market to be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 10:00 am CDT / 11:00 am EDT.
One key driver for the LAN/WAN test equipment market is security testing, which has contributed to the high growth rates the security test equipment market has recently witnessed. The need for secured networks that are shielded from hackers and protected from virus attacks as well as other potential losses has contributed significantly to the growth of the market. Moreover, this driver is expected to further increase its impact on the market during the forecast period.
By discussing new technological trends prevailing in the LAN/WAN and security test equipment markets, this briefing will benefit test equipment vendors, network equipment manufacturers, service providers, enterprises and contract manufacturers.
Highlights of the briefing include: analysis of the LAN/WAN test equipment market as well as the security test equipment market, revenue forecasts, drivers, restraints and challenges prevailing in both markets.
"Vendors continue to face the challenge of educating end users in the LAN/WAN test equipment market as new technologies emerge at a regular pace while the availability of engineers remains limited," notes Frost & Sullivan Senior Research Analyst Sujan Sami.
